Valuation Criteria
To help you understand how we arrive at the valuation of your car we have grades of condition categorised below:
CLEAN
- Bodywork – Free of damage
- Paintwork - Paint guard protected
- Mechanically sound – Free from leaks and excess wear
- Electrically – Free of error
- Interior – Free of damage and fiber guard protected
- Service History – Full documented service history
- Alloy Wheels – Wheels free of damage
- Tyres – Minimum of 5mm tread
- NCT - More than 6 months remaining
- Mileage – Below average miles for its year
AVERAGE
- Bodywork – Free of damage
- Paintwork - In reasonable condition, some minor repairs needed, Paintwork untreated.
- Mechanically sound – Free from leaks and excessive mechanical wear, requiring some service on wear and tear items
- Electrically – Free of error
- Interior – largely undamaged but in need of some cleaning, fabric untreated
- Service History – Evidence of some recent service history
- Tyres – Road worthy and legal
- NCT - Less than 6 months remaining
- Mileage – Average miles for its year
BELOW AVERAGE
- A vehicle in poor condition which would prove to be uneconomical to restore to a retail standard
- Little or no NCT
- Above average miles for its years
All valuations are valid for 7 days and are based on the information you provided to us, together with the assumptions we we make about your car.
These include:
- Your vehicle isn't an import
- Your vehicle isn't an insurance write off or used as a taxi, for private hire, reward, driving tuition or rental.
- You have two or more sets of keys
